West Virginia Wild Hogs Advance to Championship

It was another war on I-64 as the Ohio Savage came out even though short handed went shot for shot firing from the opening tip, as the lead changed almost every other possession. The crowd grew larger with every play, and the intensity inside the gym was through the roof. 

The West Virginia Wild Hogs kept the game close, capitalizing on offensive rebounds and put backs scoring quick points. At no point did either team let the lead grow more than 6 points.

The first half remained a back-and-forth shootout, with both teams trading buckets until the Wild Hogs carried a narrow 41-37 lead into halftime.

By the start of the second half, the gym remained packed wall-to-wall, and the Wild Hogs showed no signs of slowing down. Both teams continued to score at will, trading the lead with crisp ball movement and clutch finishes on both ends.

When the final buzzer sounded, the Wild Hogs secured a commanding 73-61 victory, also punching their ticket to the championship game to face the Missouri Trojans.
